인터넷을 통해 영어를 배우는 것은 신나는 일이지요.
공부를 시작하기에 앞서 해야하는 일은 목표와 교과서를 설정하는 것이죠. 자 우리는 성경책을 교과서로 선택했습니다. 그러면 성경을 통해 무엇을 어떻게 배우게 되나요.
영어 성경에는 여러가지 version이 있지요. 저희가 가장 잘 알고 있는 성경이 NIV성경이라고 생각합니다. King James Version - 쉽게 생각해서 우리의 개역성경 어투라고 생각하면 됩니다.- 뜻은 통하지만, 고어투의….
그래서 현대어로 새롭게 쓰여진 NIV를 사용하는데요, 사실 NIV에 나와있는 단어들을 생활속에서 그대로 듣기란 쉽지 않습니다.
"성경속 영어 한 마디"에서는 NIrV를 사용하려고 하는데요, New International Reader’s Version이죠. 이 문장들이 실제 사용하기에 적합하기 때문입니다. WOW!

시편입니다. 시편은 기도문 형태인데, 기도가 하나님께 이야기하는 것이잖아요. 그래서 회화에 응용할 수 있는 문장이 많답니다. 그리고 시편을 다루어가는 방법은 각 장에서 한 문형의 Point 를 잡아서 그것을 중심으로 설명하게 됩니다. 더 알아야 되거나 조심해야 할 내용은 "Digger Deep Deep"에서 다루게 됩니다.

Psalms 1

Blessed is the one who obeys the law of the Lord.
He doesn’t follow the advice of evil people.
He doesn’t make a habit of doing what sinners do.
He doesn’t join those who make fun of the Lord and his law.
Instead, he takes delight in the law of the Lord.
He thinks about his law day and night.
He is like a tree that is planted near a stream of water.
It always bears its fruit at the right time.
Its leaves don’t dry up.
Everything godly people do turns out well.
Sinful people are not like that at all.
They are like straw that the wind blows away.
When the Lord judges them, their life will come to an end.
Sinners won’t have any place among those who are godly.
The Lord watches over the lives of those who are godly.
But the lives of sinful people will lead to their death.
