Psalms 7:6~8

⁶ Lord, rise up in your anger.
Rise up against the great anger of my enemies.
My God, wake up. Command that the right thing be done.
⁷ Let all the people of the earth gather around you.
Rule over them from your throne in heaven.
⁸Lord, judge all people.
Lord, judge me. But remember that I have done what is right.
Most High God, remember that I am honest.

6절 주님, 진노함으로 일어나소서. 저의 원수들의 분노함을 꺾어주소서. 나의 하나님, 일어나소서. 옳은 일들이 이루어지도록 명령하소서.

• rise up : 일어나다
• in your anger : 진노로, 전치사 in이 사용된 것을 주목하세요.
• wake up : 잠에서 깨어나는 것이지만, 우리말에서도 은유적으로 사용되지요. 이경우는 그 뜻이랍니다.

7절 이땅에 있는 모든 백성으로 당신 주위에 모이게 하소서. 하늘 보좌에서 그들위에서 다스리소서 .

• let ~ gather : ~ 으로 하여 모이게 하다.
• people : 사람들, 백성, 민족 이곳에서는 민족의 뜻이 적합할 것 같습니다.
• rule over : 다스리다

8절 주님, 모든 백성을 심판하소서. 주님, 저를 심판하소서. 그러나 제가 행한 선을 기억하소서. 지존하신 하나님, 제가 정직한 것을 기억해주시옵소서.

• judge : 동사일 경우 판단하다, 명사일 경우 심판(그러나 경기에서의 심판은 umpire라고 합니다.)
• 7절부터 계속해서 명령문이 쓰이고 있습니다. 그러나 이것은 기도문에서는 ~하여 주소서의 의미라는 것 잊지 마시구요…
  

Psalm 7:9~11

⁹ God, you always do what is right.
You look deep down inside the hearts and minds of people.
Bring to an end the terrible things sinful people do.
Make godly people safe.
¹⁰ The Most High God is like a shield that keeps me safe.
¹¹ God judges fairly.
He shows his anger every day.
